Peaceful river

A poem is a peaceful river
that runs through your soul
flowing slowly and taking any
obstacles out the way
so serene, so pure
so calming to a troubled soul

the river washes away
all your sadness
and carries with it, all
your tears
making you put on a
pretty smile after you are done
promising you it would
always be there-
all you have to do it...
pick up a pen and write away
