Rose colored glasses

by AnnMarie   Jun 6, 2004

You are no longer looking at the world through rose-colored glasses,
And it seems as if the world keeps throwing you curves and passes.

You think that God has left you; you and you only,
But you can't see that you are not lonely.

You thought that your life went on forever, free as the sun
Soon you found that the life you had was only one.

You forgot that God forgives you for all of your sins,
Just as he's forgiven all other men.

You thought that no one was trying to help you out, give you a hand,
You were right there was not just one hand rather a whole band.

Why? You never tried to turn your life around no one has a clue,
You left them as everything else out into the blue.

Just wish you would look at my world, through my colored glasses,
Maybe then you would see that it's only you that keeps throwing the curves and passes

I liked very much how you changed the first stanza a bit to make the last one. that gave the poem a stronger flow. Good poem!! I enjoyed reading this one as much as all your other ones. Don't lose your talent:)
