I refuse to let you keep pushing me around,
Stop smothering me unless you want me to break,
It hurts to look up when you're so far down,
Maybe you'll realize that when I steal your pride,
I'll keep hoping your eyes will open some day,
So you can see the horrible things you have done,

The silver tears falling from my eyes are done,
If you look you'll see that they're all around,
But you grow more blind which each new day,
My heart will suffer no longer if I let it break,
I'm willing to transcend beyond my own pride,
But you don't know how it feels to be so far down,

Can I push you hard enough to make you fall down?
Having you beg for mercy until I admit I'm done,
Will it take a knife to penetrate your pride?
Carving in the pain that has always been around,
Why don't I just let you fall and watch you break?
Climbing so high you're bound to fall one day,

It's easy for your life to fall apart in one day,
Looking over the edge - it's a long way down,
Step off your pedestal so I can watch you break,
Each passing second - eventually you'll be done,
I couldn't bare to see the pain that's all around,
Being kind isn't a weakness - throw away your pride,

Society is full of people that live by pride,
Maybe you'll be able to walk among us one day,
But you act like it's too painful to look around,
Only the depressed walk with their heads down,
You could understand if you see they're not done,
But you don't realize it takes a lot for us to break,

Could you grab my hand and stop me before I break?
A person so caring is worth more than your pride,
Will you ever be able to admit that you're done?
Too scared to change your life in a single day,
Why can't you lower your head and walk down?
Knowing that all of us will always be around,

I'll be done when I'm here to see you break,
Always around to teach you the meaning of pride,
So one day you won't be able to bring anyone down...
