The child

by mostafa   Oct 20, 2008

I'm still a child somehow
somewhere inside lies a child
afraid of the unknown
scared of losing his way into the wild

somewhere inside lies the child
watching with his innocent eyes
what awful acts are committed by this carrier
the sinful giant his body grew into

inside he found his sanctuary
a shelter to protect him from all evil
but for how long can heart fool the mind ?
sooner or later the dig will get there

the Axe of evil will reach to where he hides
he knows not how to count
yet he can feel the seconds as it unwind
hearing the sound of the footsteps

racing one the other
each day he's dying of fear
the digging sounds almost here
may god have mercy on the child

OMG.It is the same thing that I feel, I still feel that there is still a part of my childhood is hidden inside me, but people around me still refuse seeing this part in me. It is absloutly an amazing piece,am gonna add it to my favorites.

I loved this stanza, I think it hits home for me xD..we're all are children in the inside, and well, especially men =P haha !!

I love those lines too a lot, especially the first one, amazingly expressed.

I've been on this site for 4 years now and I've never written an about-life piece..I think this is such a good one and I admired the meaningfulness in it.

    Well done
    Keep 'em comin ;)
