Winter (Etheree)

by Ingrid   Nov 17, 2008

Winter (Etheree)

Frost
nibbling
at my nose
Cold winter 's day
An azure blue sky
Wind blowing from the east
Virgin snow under my feet
Wise animals hibernating
Church bells and smells of roasted chestnuts
fill the air, along with thoughts of Christmas

An Etheree starts with a one syllable-line and with each line a syllable is added until there are ten.

    Ingrid,

this is such a perfect scene set in this wonderful form that we call Etheree..now cover it in Marzipan and decorate it for christmas, ready to slice into and serve to loved ones in front of a warming log fire.

    Well done my friend.

I liked this poem. The wording was great. The flow was good through out the poem, it put a nice picture into my mind. I see nothing that needs to be fixed or looked at. I gave it a 5/5.
