Maybe Kinder Words Would Be Better.

by BlueEyedMystery   Nov 19, 2008

I think I'll write you a poem,
for the one billionth time.
You're probably getting sick
of every single rhyme.

But it's been a little while..
since I've said a kind word.
I know this seems repetitive,
but I just want to be heard.

Luke, I really do miss you.
Those words sound so odd,
But I can't hide these tears,
can't hide behind my facade.

Remember, all the favors I owe,
from times you stitched my heart
when other people broke it,
ripped and tore it apart?

It's lying in pieces right now,
and really needs your hands,
to put it back together again,
to sew together all the stands.

Luke, I really do miss you.
This time it seems less odd.
Maybe, if I wish on some stars,
I won't need this damn facade.
