A song of longing ( Crown oddguain )

A song of longing ( Crown oddguain )

Eyes,
a mirror
of a soul so dear
Reflecting a love that is
blind

Words,
written down
Timeless, ageless proof
rendering all your lips can 't
say

Poem
of true love
How real it all seems
Words of longing poured into
verse

Heart
beating fast
This time, will it last?
Dare I believe your words so
strong?

Fear
to get hurt,
yet longing for care
In God and fate I put my
trust

Oddquain is a short, usually unrhymed poem consisting of seventeen syllables distributed 1, 3, 5, 7, 1 in five lines, developed by Glenda L. Shank.

Nice, clever write Ingrid, in your usual highly descriptive and clever style. Well written.

Amazing poem again. Never seen this form. It's cool.
    My fav stanza was
    Heart
    beating fast
    This time, will it last?
Dare I believe your words so
    strong?

It was very grabbing and I loved it.

    Ingrid,

a new form, well to me anyway. I like this form, the way it looks on a page. The poem speaks of previous trust and it's failure. New trust will always bring those memories flooding back, but hopefully with lessons learnt, trust will only be given to those relationships that have proven longevity, as trust takes time to aquire and of there are varying different levels of trust, each one revealing a deeper bond between two. Expectations come into this equation too, sometimes keeping a level perspective on a relationship can prevent a wrong conclusion being made.

As I mention, I like this form, your skill and knowledge is amazing.

    ((hugs))

I liked this poem. It was different. The flow was smooth through out the poem. The wording was great. I also really liked the format that you used. I gave this poem a 5/5.
