Rain Washes Away the Fake Sunny Days.

by BlueEyedMystery   Dec 16, 2008

The sunlight tickles as it touches my skin.
Kids are playing tag with all their bestfriends,
but as I burn my eyes looking up at the sun,
I just want to get away, so I begin to run.

Searching for lightning to shock my heart.
So maybe, just maybe, I won't fall apart.
Sunrays coat everything with cheer and joy,
hiding what they are, like a rusty, painted toy.

The wind picks up and blows my hair.
Rain stings my face, inhaling the new air.
I smile to myself, knowing I belong,
as I hear the clouds sing this lovely song:

Let the rain drops fall,
and mix with your tears.
Let them wash away,
your sadness and fears.
Embrace the thunder,
hold it close.
Dance, my dears!
It's what you love most.
