Reflections of His Story

by Maddy   Jan 4, 2009

When i found out, I cried.
I couldn't believe he died.
He was too young, couldn't even vote,
On his grave stone this is wrote

"Here we remember a boy
Who's heart was full of joy.
12 years old and he got sick
Due to a little bite from a tick.

Bacteria spread
He was left dead.
Now he will be missed by all
To everyone he enthralled."

Walking through this cemetery
Looking at all the trees of cherry,
Made me realize all the stones
Hold beloved ones to those unknown.

What's the point in fighting?
All alike, our time we're biding
And eventually we'll pass away.
I now know, life's too short, just live for today!

Wow, really liked this one. It had a great flow and rhyme scheme. An di agree with A Porcelain Heart, the ending line has a great message. Nice work.
