Shooting stars

by kevin Boundy AKA the ghost   Jan 8, 2009

We lay here watching the meteor shower
Celestial bodies soar through the skies
But I got my own shooting stars to stare at
When I look into your eyes

Your fingers laced through mine
Feel like silk against concrete
But I see nothing but love in your eyes
As we slip into the cars backseat

Heat fogs up the window
Like clouds up in space
And sweat glistens like stars
Against your heavenly face

You whisper in my ear "you are my everything"
And I look into your eyes knowing its true
this feeling is so unfamiliar and weird
So amazingly new

No one can take this feeling from me
Not until my dying day
I wished for an angel upon a shooting star
And my wish came true today
