Possible yet dead

by David Marshall   Jan 25, 2009

Man thought the moon was beyond Reach,
Until our foot prints lay across its ground.
If there is one thing life must teach,
It's that our dreams are meant to be found.

All I tried to do was reach the moon,
when I closed my eyes,
I was holding you in my arms.
When I fell asleep,
I got to feel the warmth of your lips.

I could gaze at the skylight and picture a beautiful Image;
My mind felt pure.
Now the moon has vanished,
my thoughts have been aching
and you have become an effigy in my life.

I can't bare to close my eyes;
You've pushed me to the ground.
I can't sleep at night;
My lungs fail and I can't breathe in what is true.

These stars crash down on my delusive life
and the sky shatters in my empty heart.

The sorrow and Confusion spell out a story of wisdom:
---Just build that wall
stack it thin and make it tall.

you must have faith it will hold David,
you can't see the future but your faith believes it true.
Draw your heart upon each brick;
and let life take care of its fate.

You watch it crack,
you watch it crumble.
every heart collapsed on that wall,
you built it only to watch it fall. ---

I'm the only soul at my dreams Funeral,
My love buried by its side.
Not enough flowers for us all,
Deep down, I'm the one who died...
