Drawing Sparkly Hearts

by BlueEyedMystery   Feb 3, 2009

The hearts you draw on your skin,
always seem to sparkle at night,
when the moon shines down,
and everything seems to be right.

It's the fake love in those hearts,
that hold you tight and warm.
As you're fooling yourself again,
trying to get to the Strom.

Because it's the storm's power,
that keeps the little hearts alive.
The thunder and the lightening,
that help them glitter and thrive.

Don't let them be washed away,
by the raindrops dancing in the air,
because the wind and rain battle,
in a fight that's deadly unfair.

So smile loud tonight, darling.
It's when you feel their force.
Keep drawing your sparkly hearts,
and don't ever have any remorse.

You are a very strong, amazing, and powerful poet. All of your poems have great meaning behind them and very strongly worded. You get your point out and you dont hold back, and yet at the same time i'm still in suspense about what else could happen or what you are going to say next. I love this as I do all of the ones from you that I have read. Great job.
