I'm like a Pandora Bead

by Melpomene   Feb 17, 2009

Neurotic how cyclones
embrace your elegance.
Twirling a dance of
shallow deceit.
I watched it form
much like a rapid
Distant and yet
we loved all the same.

You spun on heels to
catch the breeze.
Catastrophe, is always
a charm. I'm like a
Pandora bead a
marvelous collection.
Oh how gently these
bracelets are strung.

One who morphs isn't
what they seem. An
infinite frustration
to show who has won.
Abstract confessions
line the roots of your
tongue, light headed
we fall upon daisy beds.

I love this a lot. Every stanza is simply amazing, and flawless to me. The metaphors that you used are breathtaking.
I really like your ideas within poetry which connect with mythology in some way, and you used Pandora's box here as a metaphor greatly, without submitting to cliches.
The choice of words is astonishing from the beginning to the end, along with the imagery that you created- such intricate and vivid descriptions in every stanza left me speechless.
The meaning behind this poem is heartfelt, and I can deeply relate to your words.

Wonderful beginning which pulls the reader deeply into the piece. I like how creative and intelligently written it is, so original. Simply captivating.

Beside the beginning lines, the second stanza is my favorite, it's amazing in so many ways.
I know I'm repeating myself here, but you know how much I adore your work. This piece is just one in a row of my favorites from you.

I just love your writing! I feel your poetry whole-heartedly. The way in which you convey your message so elegantly, yet raw with unlimited emotions is quite moving . The first stanza is my absolute favorite, just flawless. The second one flowed very nicely and stayed true to the theme. The last was fabulous, love the ending.

    Awesome work!
