Saddening Melody

Rhythms of our forgotten love
pound away as if to say I lose
Rhyming out of this agony
It's metronome my only muse

Your voice plays over again on repeat
never skipping over a single part
reminding me why I listened first
the sound if anything stops my heart

Blocking you out; a couple electric Guitars
but I find myself crying to the tone of a saxophone
And these radio stations have this way of sucking
When all I want to do is simply forget being alone

Playing on throughout these miserable nights
music the only thing capable of loving me back
Because its the love i have alway had for you
That truly hurts, when now it's what I lack

    I like the way you put your sorrow to words. It all came through, even though I read it twice before I fully understood it all. But, it deserves to be reread. It's not tiring at all. Very good piece. Very good work.

    Reading it a few times help for the comment above and yes this was a terrific poem. The flow was good and the emotion as well has been felt by many but don't be discouraged. The rhyme was good all throughout and you did another great job.
