Sinking Ship

by Timothy S   Feb 28, 2009

Sit back and take it all in, the view of this sinking ship
In the middle of the chaos, with no hope therein
The world falling all around, it's only now things make sense
Slowly and comfortably fall to the hopeless defense
Maybe the key to eternity wasn't what I thought
Life is a mistake and death is the chance
Maybe re-live what was done wrong, and re-do it again
Or to sleep in the misery I've brought with these gentle hands
My words were my weapons, but only fired true with blanks
The mental anguish I've fought, bottled up, were taken out in trance
Out of body in moments, looking at my life through a glance
Consider the close ones at heart, and the bullets were my friends
The bottom of the ocean I lay, for infinity to mend
