True Form of Lonely

by Cara   Mar 2, 2009

He stumbles through the door, liquor bottle present in his hand
Wishing his pain would end, but no one could ever understand
His whole life deserted him; he knows the true form of lonely
Not only his kids were taken, but he lost his one and only

His first child was going onto uni, what a success she would be
And the little one, her birthday just passed, making her now three
He had celebrated his twenty years of love with his beautiful wife
What a delightful family, it seems he had the perfect life

But as he walks into his empty house, the dishes still unclean,
The photos of his life still hang, telling how his life had been
He drops to his knees and his hands hold his sweaty face
He feels his heart breaking, his breath begins to race

He blames himself, as he was driving the car that crashed
The side that carried his loved ones, was entirely smashed
He killed his family, falling asleep, how could he be so slack?
When he looks in the mirror, a horrid murderer glares back
