Who, who, who

by Melissa   Mar 10, 2009

Who, who, who
braids words in her hair
with a fine tipped pen
that knows not of depths
snarled with hearsay

who, who, who
are you-
with all your abstracted stares
and monotone prattle
armed with a singular question
that waits not
for an answer

to me,
it's all language
a rose bud sting
poems are a definition
of a woman at war
with her dreams,
what a shame
your tongue is that
of an owl
who, who, who
queries everyone
but himself

Clever and unique. I love the repetition of who and the reference to the tongue of an owl. Excellent use of a metaphor. EXCELLENT job!
