Thoughts of a Burning Rose (Rictameter)

Thoughts of a Burning Rose

beauty
smiling, carefree
absorbing the suns rays
growing stronger each passing day
unaware of the danger that awaits
falling prey to his blackened heart
weakened spirit, dieing
once a perfect
beauty

**Dedicated to my "Sister Sun", I Love You girl....

Very very nice.. I can't say how much i liked this poem. It is such a pleasure to find this and not a horrible Haiku. I have to say that Haikus are mostly a waste of space - my opinion anyways. Your poems though leave no doubt that you have a gifted pen and that your poetry pages never leave us empty. Keep your pencil sharp - I look forward to more.
