Forgotten Friend

Looking at the clock tick
Just sitting alone in his room
Being deathly sick
As death steadily looms

He watches the hours pass
His thoughts wonder
And then at last
He begins to slumber

he is forgotten by all
He used to have friends and people he loved
But the one day he saw
Them all gone by the blowing winds shove

They left him and he was all alone
He tried too get threw life
But never once did his efforts make him known
So he steadily fell into strife

He was eventually nothing to this world
So he went into his room
And lied on the floor in a sleeping curl
Until maybe once again his spirits bloomed

They never did though
And here he is now
And nobody would even know
When he got there or how

He wakes from his his deathly sleep
And then he stands up
And his strength then suddenly seethes
And he falls down nest to the poisoned cup

He closes his eyes for the last time
Wishing he could see again a helping hand
So silently into the night he resigns
From this world as a forgotten friend.
