Loosing Battle

by Jad   Apr 15, 2009

I find myself here again
I often come
Trying to be forgiven of my sin
But I just don't know

The things that I've done
I will never find forgiveness
All the time I quit and began to run
Is stuck in the present though it's the past

I can't rid myself of this curse
It takes away from me every day
Though I try to nurse
I still find myself lost

I know I'm not the one to blame
But I still blame myself
And it's a shame
That I'm the one who should be doing the forgiving

So I've come here
And again I leave without change
And It's becoming my fear
That this will always be a loosing battle

This poem looks to be on the same subject as "Past Memory," on the visits to the grave, but perhaps not.

Some of the lines seemed out-of-place in this poem. The third lines of both the second and the third stanza came out of nowhere, with little or no apparent relevance to the rest of the poem. I thought you expressed yourself well in the final stanza. One small thing is that "losing" only has one o in it. Other than that, good job and keep it up!
