Talking To Yourself

by BlueEyedMystery   Apr 17, 2009

Open your eyes, love.
The truth is plain to see.
You don't deserve him,
and I know you agree.

It kills you slowly.
You're rotting away,
to be dust on the wind,
like Stanta's sleigh.

Fairy tales aren't real,
no pixie dust for you.
Peter pan got old,
and you will too.

You're talking to yourself.
Crazy and disturbed?
Or maybe you're normal.
No, that's absurd.

But poems are stupid,
and so are you.
Yes, I do mean me,
But, I guess, you already knew.

Voices in your head.
Maybe your only friends.
Stop talking to yourself, damnit!
Or at least you can pretend.

I got a little confused at the end but i love dit really :)

firstly Santa not Stanta just thought i'd put that out there.

anyway i love it when people put fairy tales into there poems it gives it mor eimagination in my opinion.. the whole peter pan thing worked and i loved it.

the flow of the poem was rather quick and i didn't notice anywhere in which it went of the tracks so thats a big bonus.

its was a quirky little poem that kinda can lead you of into alot of directions but first class
