Illusions

by Jad   Apr 21, 2009

False Illusions of hope
Thought I could cope
Not knowing what to do
Falling into my own self

I thought these feelings were real
But all they do is steal
Steal away at my own being
Until all thats left is an empty shell

This world is a disillusion
Everything good is an illusion
Can't distinguish what is real
Everything is not how it should be

The final illusion is death to me
For I'm already dead on my knee
Not caring what happens
In all the illusions

I enjoy this one much more then your prevoius poem I read. The theme is straight and to the point, and the emotion is very drawn out and strong. The only thing is the flow is a little bit off in the last line of each stanza. I doesn't have to be rhyming, but try and maybe just change it up a bit.

    Peace and prosperity,
