Class

by Beautiful Forever   Apr 26, 2009

Dreams like broken smiles are haunting,
Tormented laughs are stealing faces,
Whispers longing for lies are taunting,
Heart-break hides in the safest places,

Cheating will follow a specific plan,
Eyes glistened like ghosts are shading,
A poltergeist overlooking will scan,
Into a chest where the heart is fading,

Heads hung low without a glance to pass,
A world darkened by the time of day,
Excitement exists vaguely in a class,
As an eager heart is forced to stay,

Birds chirping is a foreign sound,
Light with a sharpened edge directs,
Glory of a new breath has been found,
Class is over - the heart reconnects
