Your my puzzle piece

by David Marshall   May 5, 2009

Baby your my puzzle piece,
We fit together perfectly.
my mind so baffled yet so relieved,
lets love each other respectfully.

I can cross the oceans,
or even travel space.
But these feelings; these emotions,
they are found when i see your face.

I can travel the world,
just to find what makes me whole.
But when i found you girl,
I felt a warmth with in my soul.

nothing else makes me feel so trapped,
than to sit alone inside my heart.
almost as if a part of me has snapped,
my other half ripped and torn apart.

I can't just smile without a cause,
My heart can't just beat without reason.
I need someone to love me for my flaws,
someone to care season by season.

When your puzzle piece is so far away,
and it doesn't know if its lost its shape.
you try to tell them it'll all be OK,
we were meant to fit together; my love shall never escape.

their doubt just continues to grow,
soon enough I'm in my heart all alone.
Seems love Followed me a long time ago,
the feeling I had now so unknown.

Baby your still my puzzle piece,
I hope One day we fit together perfectly.
My mind so Bewildered yet so deceived,
I guard my heart so protectively.

It hurts me to say,
I might not be able to be full again.
But I Shut my eyes at night and sincerely pray,
"Please God, Put together this puzzle, Amen"

I love these lines, I think anyone can relate. Feeling so lost and torn to pieces.
    Great piece.
