Moments Reprieve

by Jad   May 13, 2009

She sits in her room
By herself all alone
Her thoughts wildly roam
As melancholy looms

She looks at the metallic knife
Shifting thoughts in her head
Trying to remember what her mom said
Don't just throw away your life

The knife with its reflection
Of self-harm and pain
The urge driving her insane
Losing her own perfection

She grabs the knife
The metallic cold touch
And the feeling of such
A ruin life by strife

She places it on her wrist
Not caring the result
And with a quick blot
She slices at her own risk

She is now able to breathe
The blood flows free
She bends over on her knees
At last reaching moments reprieve
