Redemption Again

by Jad   May 18, 2009

I walk down the road again
though there are hardships
And the traps seem to blend
But its worth it for my heart

To find myself
Forgotten, all alone
Like a book on a shelf
Only passing lies shown

It makes no sense to me
I'm blind in this world of lies
I can no longer see
Through the worlds philosophy tides.

I will find what my heart wants
It's not riches or glory
I'll wait forever or months
It will make a great story

My heart wants redemption
For my past wrong and mistakes
Overcoming great temptations
And into society wake

I will hopefully one day find it
Though I may know not when
As on a stool I sit
Thinking of redemption again

`Good simile here, you feel so alone like a book on a shelf.

    "My heart wants redemption
For my past wrong and mistakes"
`Well done with this - however, I dont think that you worded your second line properly. Maybe you should say "from my past and mistakes" or if you wanted to emphasize your past was 'wrong' - perhaps, you may the wrong choices or whatever you meant by that, you could use a different word for wrong and blend it in your line somehow.

Good job with this, simply written. The want for redemption.

    5/5.
