Worth her love

by iFallToPieces   May 19, 2009

She has her best friend, its all she needs,
To get through this mess, will she finish her deed?
They may start to wonder, whats going on?
She will pretend to be happy, pretend to be strong.

They will never know, how much she has lost it all,
How many times, shes really given in and began to fall,
All those night alone with her blade,
Trying to make, those old memories fade.

She has so much confusion, all in her head,
She can not talk about it, its something she dreads.
She doesn't really care; she doesnt want to look ahead,
Since that day, she would rather be dead.

No one understands it; did he really cause that much pain?
How can a few words, make someone turn insane?
Its a wonder no one noticed, she was dying inside,
And for quite awhile, she had been planning suicide.

The cuts on her arm, he never saw,
With tears in her eyes, all he did was ignore.
She felt so stupid, falling in love, it sure did hurt,
Especially with someone, that would just treat her like dirt.

As days went by, her friends began to worry,
Whenever she saw him, she began to hurry.
She wouldnt be near him, and whenever he talked,
She would turn away, and by herself she would walk.

Her fatal death was a shock, to them all,
They never knew that she felt so small.
Her suicide left them, with a tear in their heart.
And that was just how; her life began to fall apart.

The night of her death, shocked her friends.
They never knew she wanted it to end.
Now she is smiling, up above.
For maybe now she can find someone who is worth her love.

This is really sad, made my eyes misty. Its a wonder what love can do, be one shining star and ones nightmare on the other hand. Your poem is deep and flows very well, i like your choice of words, punctuations and the rhyming scheme draws one to keep reading. Really sad, really tragic, but expressed in a brilliant way. Keep up.
