Final Day

by iFallToPieces   Jun 13, 2009

They try to convince her, she is worth their time,
But she does not believe them, its all such a line.
They tell her she is pretty, she still does not believe,
How can they think that, when she really wants to leave?

She has felt this way for so long; she cannot stand it any more,
So she continues to hide behind those closed doors.
They tell her all these things, that she will never believe,
She will continue to hide, those cuts under her sleeve.

She does not know why she is feeling this way,
But she cannot seem to believe any of the words they say,
She is in so much doubt, not believing their lies,
She does not really understand, why they even try,

She does not believe they will be there, to help her through,
Is she can fake a smile, then what can they do?
What would really happen, if she tried to end her life?
Would they still be there, after knowing, she has turned back to the knife?

Each night after the next, no matter how hard she tries,
She turns back to the knife, to reveal all her lies.
Blood drops stain the floor, has she finally cut too deep?
After a few minutes, will she fall into a deep sleep?

Her eyes start to close, as she falls to the floor,
As she whispers to herself, I do not want this any more
She could not take the pain, so she ended her life,
The only thing she really needed was the help of her knife.

It was her final day; she wanted it to end,
No one will know how much she had to pretend.
She did not mean to hurt anyone; it was her own choice,
It was in her own way, a chance to say what she could never seem to voice
