It's Just A Little Hard Sometimes

by BlueEyedMystery   Jun 21, 2009

Sometimes,
it's just a little hard,
harder than most days
or weeks.
Your words linger,
like tornado dust
ripping apart my mind.

Holding on.
It's just a little hard sometimes.

Living just for six thoughts,
then dying a little more.
Only no one else can see.
Just me,
and maybe the voice inside.

Breathing.
It's just a little hard sometimes.

Gasping
for your love,
and maybe a little hate.
Come on, hate me.
Just a little?
Feel something.
Anything.

Living.
It's just a little hard sometimes.

The black asphalt
looks so inviting today.
Like a bed I could sleep in forever.
Or maybe just a few minutes.
Everyone knows
sleep isn't my thing.

It's just a little hard sometimes.
