Devious Lies

by Chrissy   Jun 28, 2009

You want one thing, forsaken by a single ring.
You gently brush her cheek, but inside you lie, you sneak.

You say you love her, her defenses begin to uncover.
She lets you in, slowly letting you win.

She tells you, you're the one, but you turn your
back, you run.

She gave all that she had, and your reaction
drove her mad.

She hates herself for not waiting, you
were not worth the pain, all you've done is cause
her shame, it slowly begins to rain.

The rain falls, it hits her cheek, you can
no longer sneak.

Devious lies, your previous disguise.
