Unchanged

by DarkCrystalbtrfy   Aug 13, 2009

The sunshine is bright
But the shadows draw near
Closing over the sky; slowely dulling
The emerald speckled leaves
Hues of green play across the ground
A tapestry of natures colors
No wind breaks the contained silence
But at the edge of hearing
A lone cricket calls
Unruffled the bees go along with there business
As usual, not noticing the chance of mood
As the sky darkens slowely
And with it sad thoughts come into play
But still the lightning bugs will appear
As cheerfull as ever
Buzzing through the air, flitting here and there
And still shadows creep
Blocking out the simple pleasures
That nature has provided
Weary the book snaps shut
And you can hear the sound of a door closing
Outside things go on unchanged
