Window Pane

by DarkCrystalbtrfy   Aug 13, 2009

Cool glass, fingertips touching
Slowely the dawn breaks; shattered
Into a million pieces
Drawn out pale purple
They say hope rises with the sun
But as the clouds over my heart stay
Shadowing the happiness that I once knew
Emptyness lies beyond the loss of all hope
And with it broken eyes
Fallen dispair like raindrops
Touch your skin
A thousand have cried there tears before me
But that doesn't make it any less real
Anchored though is one small hope
That will not leave
Because hope above all things will stay with human kind
