Winter Frost

by DarkCrystalbtrfy   Aug 17, 2009

I dream of dark;
But not of day
I dream of lonlyness and of the decay
That breaks down my heart
Each beat out of place
As the pain is willing to increase
Eyes closed as phantom fingertips
Brush over ice cold skin
A sinking feeling so sad that it wins
That it covers my heart like a sheet of ice
Not to be melted by the rays of the sun
Since shadows cover all but the pain in my eyes
Sweet surrender is my demise
To take the jump, the leap, the dive
To swallow all the bitterness down inside
To have my eyes frost over
As winter takes control
And ever so gracefully I step out the door
