Assembly Line

by Beautiful Forever   Sep 23, 2009

I'm trapped on a conveyor belt,
Pushing me to go through change,
Machines tear out what I've felt,
The parts replaced are strange,

My tears won't fall if I try,
These plastic eyes won't see,
They stare at a world so dry,
Where excitement will never be,

My hands won't hold what I feel,
They're not strong like before,
Replaced by fake pieces of steel,
They can't nuture what I adore,

My heart can no longer beat,
It resonates a soft click,
My chest hurts from defeat,
This has to be a trick,

Time passes without hesitation,
The conveyor belt presses on,
This was an assassination,
My soul is finally gone...
