Path

by Kuro   Nov 22, 2009

Pitiful, an utter disgrace
Roots of character I can trace
Back to when it all first started
Exploring new places uncharted

Mistakes are common; for me they are an art
With each new struggle I'm a little more smart
Yet I find myself precariously devout
Repeat offender without a new route

Doomed to walk the forsaken road
Time to reap what I have sewed
Pitifully I hesitate to repeat
Each nailed driven into my feet

I tire from my short but painful jaunt
The path I chose I can never vaunt
My life continues my voice hoarse
The path I walk is my only coarse

The second stanza was my favorite...I think you did really well with the rhyming and still keeping with the feeling of what you wanted to say.
