Beauty

by Michael D Nalley   Dec 19, 2009

It is what is pleasing
To immortal senses
When it is teasing
There are no defenses

Passionate pleasure
Just out of our earthly reach
Worthy of desire

Who would dare to possess it
Has nothing but great imagination
For it belongs to none but eternity
Though we as mortals may peek

In the dawning of Life was a wonderful Eve
Angels listened as wings glistened like stars
The damned, justly smitten, bear the scars,
As if it is written in their hearts to deceive

Beginning with no ending
Eternally it is divine
Accepted by lovers
United in one cause
To please forever

"What praise do we give thee, but how we take your gift and squander." You've given Beauty life. Essence. Made it touchable. Very strong writing here, Michael. Where does your talent come from? And where do I get some?

This was a expressive piece that caught my eye immediately. I loved all that you tied into this write and how not only did it capture the essence of beauty but brought beauty to the reader too.

A lovely gem to read from you, I don't think I can ever be disappointed or left unamazed after reading your works. Keep it up!

God bless you and Merry Christmas!
