Passive Farewell

by Anthony M   Jan 21, 2010

Feel free to release me without remorse
my existence alone is not so terrible
and in solitude I can hurt only myself
though your absence may sting,
I resign myself to following this course.

I loved this piece, short, yet powerful and I think something many of us out here can relate to, great work!

Sometimes it's for the best just to end it, if it no longer feels right and you know that all you do is hurt the other. Very sad, but wise write.

    God bless,

Such a short write yet so powerful in emotion. Sad words you have penned here, but well done to say the least .

This is so very sad to me. I'm sure because I spend so much time alone.

my existence alone is not so terrible

These lines really stand out to me when reading your piece. What sad feelings come from these words.
    Great job!
