Urgency.

I love the uncertainty and also the fact that you still know what you want. it's great :)

Waist-deep in thought-
myriad tears fall;

*Not sure why but this line seemed like it was missing something. I'd say "myriad tears fall fast" or something like that*

a tepid touch to my cheeks-
an anesthetic kiss.

*Love these last two lines. The imagery they evoke are very stong and almost heartbreaking to think about. Nice*

reticent lips taste serenity
as solitude morphs into chimera-
temporarily escaping loneliness-
embraced by your touch.

*I think this had to be my favorite stanza. I can really relate to that feeling and it makes me sad to think about it. I love the diction and how well this stanza flows.*

urgency vibrates within my heart-
as eyes become blinded
by another downpour of need;
time hangs by icicles.

*I hate this feeling. Needing something or someone and not knowing when you will ever get it. I like that you used the title here. Very real emotion I think a lot of us can relate to.*

I couldn't even begin to express the feeling these lines give me. Amazing lines that just stick to your mind ....

I miss you all too much. <--- an ending that leaves the reader with a lump in their throat.

It is so hard to soothe the pain of losing someone you love. Great imagery in this piece. I loved your ending. Seems no matter how hard we try to forget and move on those feelings just keep coming back.
