Remember me?

by HaileyHelen   Mar 28, 2010

I want you to remember
every SINGLE kiss,
every SINGLE moment
that felt like this...

the moments that stay with you.
the ones that seem
too perfect to be anything more,
or less than a dream.

I know that this is real,
not just some teenage crush.
my knees won't stop shaking
and my blood begins to rush.

the butterflies lift off
and this smile, I can't conceal.
i've never felt so beautiful
Oh how I hope that this is real.

if not, and I am dreaming
please wake me not too soon,
for if this fantasy is to cease
i will face a certain doom.

when he looks at me
he sees into my soul
through those precious lips, so pale
and off his tongue they role.

those three words,
they help to ease the pain.
he keeps my spirit strong
and makes it all okay.

If nothing else
remember this...

everynight when you called, whether it be good, or bad. Whether it be to laugh, cry, scream or just be silent and listen to me breathe. I always answered. after every game i made you smile, win or lose. I baked you brownies and wrote you letters. I never forgot to tell you that I loved you. If you can give me nothing of your heart, give me something of your mind. Just remember me...

I was just thinking of writing a poem entitled 'Remember Me'. Anyway after reading your poem, I feel that this seems like a teenage confession type of poem that is written in a girl's diary. Simple and just straightforward.
