Moonlights Puddle

by DarkCrystalbtrfy   Apr 9, 2010

The night air
Rushes by the ground
Surveying eyes take in the scene
Soundless emotions forming between
Soft footfalls on the grass
Curious gaze rests at last
On the one who is sitting in moonlights puddle
Fair skin, dark eyes, talking to the stars
Taking in their demise
Shadows fall across her frame
Looking up fear has no part to play
A cold stare, a sad smile
Hands held out in gestured will
Hesitant she turns away
She says Romeo come back another day
Another day when the wind still sighs
When the sun still brightens
The jade colored leaves
And the silver moonlight doesn't drip its sorrow
Onto my eyes that want to leave
You've come too late to save
My heart that's been broken
Into scattered pieces of pale pink glass
You've come too late, she said as she breathed her last
A cry of loss, a cry of sorrow
Yesterday is gone, so is tomorrow

A tale of woe not brought on by the seperation of family, but the seperation of the heart.
