A Fairytales reality

by Courtney Hough   Apr 20, 2010

I have often wished
I was trapped in a tower
waiting for my prince
hour by hour

I snap back into the world
away from hopes and dreams
and little did I know
my prince was coming for me

my prince didnt know
how my heart was torn
you just talked, but saved me
you polished a heart that was worn

you saved my life
in ways you dont know
you made me live life
and not act in a show

I would always smile
just talking to him
he lifts my spirt up
his words a prayer a hymn

my prince would do anything
to save me from the tower
he was ready to save me
and do everything in his power.

My prince came just in time
he saved my life
he didnt care about anyone else
he wouldnt let me pay the price.

The dragon stood at the door
wouldnt let him through
but my valiant prince
the dragon he slew

my prince
the bravest of all
slayed the monsters
always stood and would never fall

he busted down the door
took me in his arms
he always promised me
"I would never be in harm"

my prince took me away
to a land of happily ever after
and to always be with him
with happiness joy and laughter

I open my eyes
thinking it was all a dream
but my prince is standing there
his handsome face gleams

this was all happening
this is all true
as we ride off in the sunset
he says: "I love you."

    Hey Courney,

That is really sweet. You are lucky to have found a love like that
