Lingering Moments

by Poet on the Piano   Apr 27, 2010

Do you remember the fiddler on ole sycamore tree?
It was given another chance to solely play
when two lonesome leaves no longer could see
and fluttered together into autumn's final array.
This became known as the dance of unity
because when the golden diamonds hit common ground
their mundane colors intertwined and spilled impunity
as they fell deeper in love without uttering a sound.
