Intimacy Shaded On The Shoreline

by Poet on the Piano   Apr 28, 2010

Don't you want to go back to those sunlit days
where we would stretch our hands and catch golden rays?
Can't you feel again the warmth of that sand
even stronger now that I have taken your hand?

Those times, they can never be washed away
Silence spoke for what we never had the chance to say
The light flickers yet there's more than this I'm sure
our hearts start a flame that will endlessly endure.

What I love about you is more vast than the sea
You contaminate air with laughter 'til I agree
You're the most compassionate patient friend
who I want each memory with me to happily spend.
