For [[[[]]]] From Me

by WakingFreedom   Apr 30, 2010

The colors flew from the notes you sang
In bright blues and rosey reds
The smile on your face shined
As you played and as you swayed
Beauty and life swam around my head

You told me once before you had to sing
That music is your story book
You love the ending
As much as the beginning
Mostly the tears of silent applaud

Your passion, your words, your voice
Go hand in hand, side by side
A perfect couple
A perfect lullaby
You've heard it many times before

But has anyone told you this
You have saved my life
You have saved my soul
You caught me with your music
Before I fell off the cliff of humanity

Thank you

An elegant poem which lost me at first yet kept my interest if that is possible as I read it over and over again. Still don't have a clue were it come from but it grabbed me as I know words, songs and music can be a life saver for some, was the music your heart singing or was it someone you love who song stole your heart?
An excellent image building poem that captured me while I was reading it. 5/5 Ray S
