Lost

My hearts fallen so far,
Long gone and out of reach.
Overcome by darkness and marred,
As I stand here on this beach.

The rising moon reflecting,
Emptiness as do I.
So lost needing directing,
A lonely wave along for the ride.

Exasperating thoughts,
Needing clarification.
Never fitting in the slots
Of all knowing justification.

Hoping for an answer.
Never hearing a reply.
Dying of this cancer
-Loneliness- in which I confide.

I stand here now lost,
Watching the waves reside.
Everything feels so unreal and false
Ever since that receding tide.
