Winter

by Alexandra   Aug 24, 2010

The snow is falling lightly outside,
Slowly but surely building new-found pride.
The grass is covered,
And the last bits of summer are smothered.
The trees are bare,
And the leaves have fallen without any care.
The cold winter breeze,
Is bitter but pleased.
On the lawns are blankets of snow,
They are putting on a shimmering show.
The end of summer was near,
Now winter is here.
