Without You

by Alexandra   Aug 24, 2010

Without you,
Is a phrase I don't get.
Every time he says it,
I want to forget.
Whether its,
"I'm here without you,"
Or "I'm fine without you."
Both ways I don't know what to do.
Sure I look happy,
When I say I'm fine.
But for my true colors,
Please give me time.
There are things I won't do,
Words I won't say,
Just to know you're there for me,
Every single day.
So next time you say those words,
Directly to me,
Look into my eyes,
And maybe you'll see.
Look past the innocent smile,
Beyond my pretty face.
Cause deep in my mind,
There is nothing but space.
Take back that confusing phrase,
Say you meant forever.
See that space has filled,
Now that we're together.
