Needs

by Stephanie   Sep 2, 2010

If only they knew the lies you keep,
The sinister smile,
On your lips
The hunger,
Behind your eyes
The prey,
In which you seek,
Only in which to sleep

Never satisfied,
Your glass is never full
The need shatters your existence down to the core
All you want is to settle your score

No one knows your name,
They only know the word,
By which they call you,
Which makes you seem so tame

Your reflection is a cover,
To hide your double life
Deception, lies
Gatherer by day
Hunter by night

You,
Approach with caution,
Make the move,
Entice them in the den,
And make way for the kill when,
Your claws sink in deep,
And she's dead, cold and used

But I got out alive just in time
Prey outsmarted the predator

I wonder how many victims you slew,
If only they knew,
The lies you keep,
The sinister smile,
On your lips
The hunger,
Behind your eyes
The prey in which you seek,
Only in which to sleep
