Moonlight Sonata

by Poet on the Piano   Oct 2, 2010

I haven't seen the sun
come out from the dark, before.

Water waves reflect
everything I've stored
far past my memory
into serenity
where you breathe.

What I stare at
endlessly
is your smile
radiating above ocean skies,
oh why,
are we invisible
to each other's eye?

You say day will rise
but I find this sorrowful
when you and I meet
somehow night is prolonged
but our torch still guides
never straying
always a believer.

My light
one angel star
falling in my bloodstream
and making me crazy
for someone who loves
like winter whisper
that welcomes summer heat.

Don't sleep too late
for you will miss
the ending of our journey
on this earth,
I'll bet you will have wings
and our words
composing love
through the horizon.

    Hey sweet girl!

    I missed reading you:)

This poem gave me goose bumps...I loved all stanzas, cannot point out a favorite.

Same goes for me..always a believer.

Oh MaryAnne..you are so very gifted. I have no doubt you will one day be famous, if you pursue a carreer as a writer.
