Trench warfare

by kevin Boundy AKA the ghost   Oct 20, 2010

I lie awake in bed last night
wishing you were in my embrace
when I look at you your eyes sparkle
more then all the stars in space

I found you right by my side
at trench warfare with the world around
I was looking for survival
and your love is what I found

I trust you with my life
because you mean more to me by far
the cut across my chest was deep
but your kiss made it a scar

its been a week and it feels as if
the scar has quickly fade away
she takes away the constant pain
she is what gets me through the day

it has been two days and I am shaking
I need your hand to steady mine
I need your kiss to catch my breath
once your here I will be fine

but until then my thoughts of you
will continue to soothe my brain
and temptation for your touch
continuously drives me insane

I guess you can call me home sick
home my love, is by your side
your the result of what I saw
when heaven and earth collide

I never give a single step
even when I feel I must surrender
I fight until my final breath
I have met no worthy contender

I'm not easy to love sweet heart
your smile means you accept the mission
this is trench warfare so arm yourself
I'll let you win this competition
